I was contacted by a HomeLight Account Executive about a new client referral. What now?

By utilizing HomeLights proprietary algorithm we have analyzed and crunched years of performance data. Our expert team of Account Executives use this data to expertly match top performing agents (like you!) with clients in need of your specific market expertise.

Upon receiving your first HomeLight referral an Account Executive will reach out with a phone call, text message and email. We will explain any relevant details from our conversation from the client that will assist you in making a great first impression.

The text message and email will include details about the client and their search or property. Also included is a phone number with a four digit pin code that will allow you to reach out to the client for the first time.

Please keep in mind that we promise our clients a prompt response. Please respond to every HomeLight referral within 15 minutes to maintain your internal ranking.

Calling a new HomeLight referral 

  • Call the phone number that is included in the "New Referral" text message and email
  • You will hear a recorded voice, please enter the four digit pin (also in the text message and email) when prompted.
  • You will be connected directly to the client.
  • Upon hanging up after either leaving a voicemail or speaking with the client you will receive another text message and email containing complete client details included email address and all provided client contact information.
  • Log in to your HomeLight Agent Portal and update HomeLight on how your conversation went!
